Community Activities of
Tom Wells

Tom currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Charter Review Committee for the City of Coral Gables considering changes to the City’s Charter. He is a former Senior Warden and member of the Vestry of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, past-President of the FICPA’s Miami-Dade Chapter, former member of the FICPA’s Board of Governors and past-President of the Miami Tax Institute.

Tom contributes his time to helping the owner of Birdie Bistro, Rita Tennyson, by assisting in restaurant operations on the weekends. For example, he provided ice cream to people who recently attended the 76th Annual Junior Orange Bowl Parade held on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. Tom is a regular playing pickleball on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Youth Center and is working to get permanent pickleball courts installed at the Biltmore Tennis Center.  

Tom is a member of the Coral Gables Country Club and regularly works out at the gym early in the morning at 6 am. He is a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church and attends the 8 am service on Sunday morning when he is not playing soccer with his futbol friends who he has had for over 30 years. He also occasionally sings Karaoke at JohnMartin’s on Thursday nights or ManKind Grooming & Services or 7Seas on Saturday nights. He also samples wines at Wolfe’s Wine Shoppe on Miracle Mile on Friday nights and is a regular at Fritz & Franz Bierhaus for soccer matches (particularly Inter Miami games).
